The 2005/2006 Verizon directories arrived on campus on January 5. Central Stores will deliver them, weather permitting, the week of January 17. After your department receives the Verizon directory delivery, collect all your old Verizon directories and pile them in a central location – preferably where you accept deliveries. Central Stores will return and pick up the discarded old directories for recycling.
This year Verizon has delivered 1500 Verizon directories to be distributed to UCSB departments. The number of copies each department will receive is in direct proportion to the number of copies of the printed Campus Directory purchased by that department. That is because the cost of the campus directory includes costs for delivering and recycling the Verizon directory.
Because approximately 5400 Campus Directories were ordered this year, and only 1500 Verizon Directories are available for distribution, departments will have to distribute their available copies of the Verizon directory in the manner they determine is best, realizing that not everyone will be able to have their own Verizon directory.
