Telephone and Voice Services Repairs
Use our online Report a Problem form to get help with telephone and voice service problems.
Alternatively, send email to repair@commserv.ucsb.edu, call our Help Desk at extension 8700, or send a fax to extension 7272. We will advise you if you need to refer your question to Verizon. If the problem is with your on-campus telephone connection, we will open a trouble ticket to resolve it.
When reporting the problem, please supply the following information.
- The name, organization, and telephone number of the person reporting the trouble, and of the principal subscriber to the service (if different). This will allow a repair technician to contact someone familiar with the details.
- The specific location of the problem (e.g., the building and room number).
- A description of the problem. This may be as simple as "I can't get a dial tone." The more information you provide, the easier it will be to isolate the problem.
- If the trouble is with a telephone, the Help Desk will need to know whether it is single- or multi-line.
