Information About Services You Can Request Online

Information You Will Need to Provide
Communications services are charged to University and BARC accounts. To make a request, you'll need to know:
- Your account number.
- The name and email address of the account controller, or person who has signature authority for that account, if that person is not you.
- The name of the subscriber, or person who will receive the service.
- The service location, i.e., the building and room number where the service will be delivered or installed.
How Online Requests are Processed
- You complete and submit the online Service Request Form.
- Your request is sent to Communications Services, and an email confirmation with an Online Request Number is sent to you. A copy of your request is also sent to your Account Controller if that person is not you.
- When we receive your request, we will generally open a work order to process it, and send you an email notice with your Work Order Number.
- If you have questions about your request at any time, send email to workorder@commserv.ucsb.edu, or call Customer Service at extension 8700. Be sure to mention your Online Request Number.
