Telephone Service for Faculty and Staff

telephone service

Service Description

Communications Services provides single- or multi-line telephone service to UCSB faculty and staff offices and labs. Installation and monthly fees are charged to a designated University or BARC account number.

Telephone equipment – including instruments, line cords, and wiring – must be purchased and maintained independently of telephone service. You can purchase telephone equipment from Communications Services, or you can buy equipment from the vendor of your choice.

For a list of features that come with standard telephone service for UCSB faculty and staff, see our Custom Calling Features.

To learn about VoIP service, see VoIP Service Description.

To learn about programmable multi-line digital telephone systems, see Digital Key Telephone Systems.
